Let us introduce Agatha Harkness.
[card]agathaharkness[/card] is a character with a unique ability in Marvel Snap. She always starts in the player's hand and will play cards for them. Everything that players will do during the game is just pressing the bottom “End of the turn”. Let's talk about Agatha Harkness as a Marvel character and her personification as a card in game.
Agatha has the ability to manipulate magical forces for the different effects like energy projection, teleportation, mesmerism, illusion-casting and thought-casting.She is a powerful witch, typically portrayed as a friend and teacher of Wanda Maximoff also known as Scarlet Witch. Interesting fact that [card]scarletwitch[/card] also has a unique mechanic in Marvel Snap but these two cards do not have any synergy and as usual are not playing in the same deck. Since Agatha's debut, she has been referred to as one of the strongest Marvel magicians. So the ability of a card shows her character as closely as possible.
The power of Agatha Harkness is 14, her cost is 6. So She is a very strong finisher. For example, [card]giganto[/card] also has the same stats but can be playable only in the left location. So what is the reason to not play Agatha Harkness? The answer to that question is very simple. Sometimes Agatha's plays are much worse than a typical player can do. She is not analyzing the next turn according to opponents' plays and the rules of each location. But she can play pretty well. Maybe it is just a random factor.
In Marvel Snap there are some locations that have the similar ability like Agatha's one. Let's investigate the “Ego” location. It has the same ability and the same gameplay from the artificial intelligence. But there are two differences. The first one is that “Ego” works for both players. So you just see the movie and it is hard to predict the final result. The second one is that “Ego” can be revealed as a third location. So during two first turns both players can strengthen their positions.
In one of the versions in comics, Scarlet Witch, again having no memory of her children, angrily confronted Harkness about their existence. Nick Fury found what appeared to be her corpse and concluded that Agatha had been dead for a long time. [card]nickfury[/card] in Marvel Snap can give players Agatha Harkness. In those situations the last turn can be played by her. Also Scarlet Witch tells Hawkeye she is under the care of her "Aunt Agatha" in a small apartment. However, this version of Wanda was later revealed to be a [card]doombot[/card] that replaced the real Wanda at some point. In the game, the chance to see Agatha Harkness and [card]hawkeye[/card] is very low. But sometimes we can see her with [card]drdoom[/card] and his doombots in decks with [card]hela[/card].
Agatha often intersects with the Fantastic Four in comics. She became a governess, tutoring children in need, though she eventually retired. But when the Fantastic Four asked her to watch their newborn baby, Franklin, she agreed immediately, once she considered who his parents were. When the heroes first brought Franklin to Whisper Hill, she invited them in to spend the night, as it was too late and too stormy for them to return home. Though once The Thing and the Human Torch had settled down, the Thing fell straight into the clutches of the Frightful Four. The evil four soon captured the rest of the Fantastic Four, but they soon faced Agatha Harkness, whom they underestimated. She warned them that her cat Ebony’s hackles were up, but the Wizard ignored her warning and attacked. The cat transformed into a massive panther and soon sent him fleeing out of the window, where he smashed into a tree and was knocked unconscious. The Sandman and Trapster attacked moments later, but Agatha turned the Sandman’s body into rock and used her magic to convince the Trapster that the newly-freed Thing was a monstrous, demonic creature, wherein he fainted dead away in fright. In marvel Snap she does not have any synergy with [card]thething[/card] and [card]humantorch[/card]. [card]mrfantastic[/card] is a universal card so they can be in the common deck. [card]invisiblewoman[/card] is one of the main cards in [card]hela[/card] decks where Harkness also can be playable. [card]sandman[/card] can be playeble in one deck with Agatha as a strategical card.
Besides Wanda Maximoff, Agatha Harkness intersects with [card]quicksilver[/card] and [card]vision[/card] in comics and cinema. In Marvel Snap Quicksilver is a pretty bad 1-drop and it plays only in decks with [card]patriot[/card]. As for Vision, in game it is a strong card with a unique moving ability. Players can move Vision every turn. Even [card]nightcrawler[/card] can be moved only one time. So Agatha does not have any synergy with those characters.
The deck building with Agatha Harkness is pretty easy. According to marvelsnap.pro statistics [card]agathaharkness[/card] has synergy with [card]wave[/card], [card]ghostrider[/card] and [card]ladysif[/card]. Lady Sif is introduced like a card in Discard decks. She will discard the highest-cost card in hand. So she will discard Agatha as well. Then players have a chance to resurrect it after playing Ghost Rider. Also Agatha will be played on turn 4 if on turn 3 Wave enters the location.
Here is the example of deck with [card]Agatha Harkness[/card]:
[deck]agatha-1m8r9[/deck]
[card]domino[/card] will also be playable on turn 2 and will give players an early game.
[card]killmonger[/card] and [card]shangchi[/card] are characters who will give control in this deck and will destroy 1-drop cards and powerful creatures.
[card]sera[/card] will reduce the cost of cards in hand. You can get her from [card]jubilee[/card]. After playing wave you will always play [card]agathaharkness[/card] . Then you can play [card]arnimzola[/card] to create 2 Agathas in two other locations.
In conclusion we would like to say that Agatha Harkness is a very strong character in Marvel and pretty strong in Marvel Snap. The developers endowed her with a unique ability that looks like telekinesis. As a card she has a big power. This fact presents Agatha as a finisher. Some archetypes are builded around her.
