Players can activate the Snap feature as the battle is happening and double the number of Cosmic Cubes available to win. If both players decide this is a good move, eight cubes can end up in play. This feature is best used when you’re very confident of winning the game and want to grab as many cubes from your opponent as possible.
The Retreat feature is best used if you don’t feel confident about winning the game. This might be because you feel your opponent has a better deck to play with or they’ve chosen to ‘Snap’, which has left you worried about losing lots of cubes.
Each player is allowed to Retreat in Marvel Snap to get out before it’s too late. You lose the current number of cubes in play, but this can sometimes be the better option.
